Seaway Winds rehearsal of February 25th, 2017.
We have had the pleasure of having the visit of 5 musicians from Ottawa and Valleyfield
Richard Guidone – Trumpet (Ottawa)
Jamie Clark – from “Musicare.com” Tenor Sax who will play 1 st clarinet on the 25th (Ottawa)
Steven Kemp – trumpet (Valleyfield)
Richard Normandeau – euphonium (Valleyfield)
Guy Lemay – trumpet (Valleyfield)
Bravo for these people. We have Steven who is joining us permanently. Great!
Thank you Pierre Vaillancourt for playing with the band and conducting some selections.
Many, many positive comments were made after the rehearsal, regarding the fun we had in getting together and playing. BRAVO!
The program on the 25th will be quite full. I ask that you have a look at the selections we have already covered and to go through the more difficult parts only.
I will have Matthew Mulrihill, of OPG, raise the temperature. Ha! Ha! Most were wearing their winter coats while playing. We will not forget this first rehearsal at OPG. Paul-Émile Lacroix, yes, my brother, took many photos and filmed. I will have some on the website.
I found a TUKE in the hall – (see photo at end of this email)
(PV) in front of the selection states that Pierre Vaillancourt will be conducting these.
24 selections for next time is a lot, however, many have been played in the past 2 rehearsals and we will just review. You will still have sore chops by the end of the rehearsal.
Make sure that you have a music stand with you.
Bring your own lunch
